On the 29th of September, my H. aspersas Lilac, Robbie, Ellie and 23 of the babies died of unknown causes. As I removed the bodies, I found one healthy baby at the bottom of the tank. She was the smallest baby, Molly. When she hatched a month ago, I didn't think she would survive, she was so weak. Miraculously, she did.
Molly now lives at my snail sanctuary, along with 15 other sick snails brought to me for rehab and then release by people who care. She has been renamed "Miracle" because she is the only survivor. While I will never forget Lilac and all the other snails that passed away, I hope Miracle will grow up healthy and happy.

I can only assume that the cause of that was likely some kind of virus or parasites... Interesting (but sad) story.

So sorry to hear about your aspersas! What an inspiring story about your little Miracle, though! Thank you for sharing it!
