Elsie, my Helix aspersa just laid eggs! I'm so excited! I moved them to a smaller container but left the container in the tank so that they stay in a similar environment. Hopefully they hatch. Cross your fingers for me! Elsie looks super skinny, should I provide her with extra food? If so, what kind? She is munching away at some fruit in her bowl.

Oohhh I'm not much help but I'm so happy for you! Can't wait to see babies. I hope you get a good hatch.

I'm sorry to announce that Elsie has passed away. I think it was the exhaustion of laying the eggs, she might have been older than I thought and it was just her time. RIP Elsie.

Weird... It's not normal for that to happen, but maybe it just wasn't strong enough to deal with reproduction. Sorry for your loss. On the flip side, at least it successfully completed the circle of life.

On the flip side, at least it successfully completed the circle of life. I thought that too. I had read here on the forum that Helix aspersa don't die after laying eggs but she was just SO skinny after, I figured that's what it was. Idk I just hope she enjoyed the couple of months with us. I am happy that she was able to lay her eggs, I will hopefully have an Elsie II soon.
