Hi, my favorite snail is not very active (not dead) i can wake him up by spraying him with fresh spring water, granted it is winter so that could be it
but i do see he is more active in the night, i do see him awake in the day sometimes, i did see him awake today

It's normal for snails to be nocturnal (active at nights). It's nothing to worry about but you can't force them otherwise, they'll just go back to sleep when left alone.

Jacob, I suppose you could bug your snail all day and thus keep him awake, but that wouldn't be fair to a pet in my opinion. Sometimes snails' sleep routines seem to change with season, hope that'll happen with your snail.

bothering them to keep them awake all day is unlikely to have much effect (other than to train them to associate you with bad things and make them less social).
generally there's not a lot you can do. you can feed them earlier and earlier in the evening and sometimes this will tempt them to shift their clock slightly.

I get my slug out every day for a bath do you think that bothers him? Thanks!

They don't really need daily baths. If you need to wake them, doing it in the evenings when slugs & snails would normally be waking up is the best time.

I know they don't need them but i was paranoid that he would dry out. I didn't know that waking them bothered them though.

Why not leave a shallow container of water in his tank? That way they can bath if they want. It also helps keep the tank humid. I do this and the snails all love to use there baths some even take there dinner or the cuttle fish bones in with them so they can bath n eat at the same time.
This way I only give them a bath once a week or so usually when I'm doing the main tank clean outs.
