My smallest albino reti from Gabi doesn't seem to be doing anything.
It doesn't move a lot, doesn't seem to have grown and stays inside it's shell quite a lot. The big one however is doing fine and is out every day.
I moved them into a bigger tank a few weeks ago, but it's only a more decorated version of the baby tank. It's capillary matting with moss on, then a few plants and a flowerpot. They have cuttlefish all the time, get sprayed daily unless the tank is still really damp and then I only spray them lightly if at all, and the temp is between 22 and 25 which it's been since they arrived.
I assume it's eating enough, I would have thought it would have died by now otherwise. It just doesn't seem to do a lot else. Are retis normally shy/lazy?
What foods seem to be a "pick me up" for snails again? I've forgotten lol.
All I can think of doing is moving it back into the baby tank with the rodatzi for company so I can keep a better eye on it and try feeding it a few "pick me up" foods.
Any ideas?

They have been from 2 different batches and I noticed a similar thing with my left one from the second batch. But he is now doing currently a growthspurt and I hope that yours will do the same soon. Young retis are almost all the time burried and they start around a size of 4cm to sleep on the sides or roof of the tank. My ones have eaten only at night.
Another thing to tell is. I have other normal retis from Berlin (siblings of them are now living with lisalq and sarah - I think). I had 6 snails and one of them is still only 1.5cm in shell length. He never has grown since I got him. But seems to be fine. He is eating at night, burrowing during the day. Whatever I have tried, he just doesn´t want to grow. Looks kind of weird when he is sitting besides the almost 10cm others.

actually mines doing quite well! not the most active snail but he's growing well. spraying the tank every day really keeps them active.

Hmmm we at least it isn't only mine, but at least not everyone's is like it lol. So relief and good.
I do spray them everyday (well night) but even if I miss a night, the bigger one is still active.
Has anyone remembered the "pick me up" foods yet? I think porridge is one but we don't have any. I might try some hemp and see what the little one makes of it. (The fulica polished it off the other day, bowl is clean as anything!)

Oh dear Mine are in a tank on their own, and my smallest one was actually out the other day when I went to spray and feed them. Is the first time in a while I've actually seen it out before they've been sprayed. If he doesn't perk up anymore I'll put him or both of them in with my rodatzi babies and see if some more company helps. It can't be an illness or anything otherwise my other one would have got it by now. In theory anyway lol.

I had mine in with my 3 smithii, 4 iradelei, 4 dimidiata and a fulica and they weren't growing or eating, so then i moved the bigger one in with 3 panthera and the smaller one in with rodatzi and the bigger one is doing quite well, i left him alone with the panthera, just left him to it, didn't wak him up at all even when i was worried and tonight hes come out by himself when i put the food in and started munching on some courgette (i've found this is a favourite with them) and the lip of his shell isn't rough anymore, it's grown smooth. I think he just preffered to be in with only a couple of other snails and they have one of the biggest tanks out of the nursery tanks so i think he likes lots of room too. As for the smaller one hes doing ok too, he hasn't grown much but i'm not too bothered as most of my baby snails went through a stage of not growing, the only worrying thing is that his apex has just crumbled away, there was some dirt on his apex so i went to rub it off and it just crumbled so i brushed it carefully and sprayedit to get the dirt out then i covered it up.

That pic is a courgette and it looks nothing like a cucumber lol. Do you not have much contact with cucumbers? We do so the difference is obvious lol. (Mums gsd loves it) For a start cuc's don't have that big bit on the end of them. The skin is also different, and courgettes are normally shorter and fatter. As Mike said it's whiter and drier inside, they don't have the soft bit in the middle like cucumbers. And in other countries it's called a zucchini (sp?)

Well I wouldn't have believed it if I wasn't seeing it for myself... but my little reti has new shell growth!! In fact they both do!! I did what you did Sarah, I put my panthera in with them. I only have one, but it seems to still be helping!! Loook lil Korben with growth ;D and Leeloo and their "hero" Jose Also with lovely new growth I'm going to leave Jose in there now and see if they perk up anymore. Both the retis had actually been sleeping next to each other when I found them, they haven't done that since I moved them to the bigger tank. Their shells also look nicer too. I don't know why panthera help but it seems to be working with me too so it can't just be a fluke can it? lol
