I'm living in Croatia. I have amber and Helix aspersa snail. What to do when winter come. Are snails sleep trough the winter or they are active when they are in the house ? What to give them to eat. We don't have salad or food like this? Apple? PLease help me. Thank's Ivana

Hi, Make sure they have a heated area i spose - Heat mat +_+ And most things they will eat, Apple is OK Mine ate half an apple in like 1hour :/ More experianced people will help you more -Samm

I don't use a heat mat for my aspersa, they don't mind the room being a bit cooler during the winter. I did find mine would sleep if it got a bit colder, but only sleep for a week or two. mine eat most fruit and vegetables.

My cepaea nemorali are coming out of a hibernation they've done a couple winters running-- even indoors. I live in the northwestern US, so it does get pretty chilly, but is this just typical of the breed? _@/
