Time flies! A year ago my Mauno was a tiny snailie with huge eyes, now he's big and handsome and he's gonna be a mom-daddy. I borrowed another A. balteata from a fellow local snailkeeper to stay with him until they breed. I've found lots of practise eggs all around the tank, and now finally ten perfect ones laid in one place. I'm keeping the other snail a while longer in case this too is only a practise clutch, but it looks very good right now and I'm very excited.

"mom-daddy" LOL as funny as it sounds... biologically accurate!

Lol yes, got to love pets who are hermaphrodites The clutch may still be a bunch of test eggs, but at least the snails are practicing hard, eh? I'll let you know if I get hatchlings!

No hatchlings yet, but more and more eggs keep appearing in small batches. Strange, but we'll see what happens.
