Right... Archachatina species have the V shape on the tails. But my tigers have a really obvious V shape too, and my babies even moreso than baby margies Why?! lol.

Tigers have a more raised V,like a ridge,margies have a more flatter V.....but why?thats how they grow lol ;D

We're not sure why, but it seems that Achatina achatina are the true form of Achatina, and many have since been discovered to be different. We've wondered whether Tigers are more closely related to Archachatina than other Achatina are. We've certainly not heard of other Achatina with the V shape.....yet. Unfortunately, body descriptions are completely absent from most snail identification literature.
