I was a member before, but cannot log in using my old username (slimeballsquidget) as I closed the e-mail account relating to it years ago when I lost my snail "Squidget" back in 2011. Squidget was an Achatina Fulica GALS.
OK, so a few years have passed and lots of things have happened since I left here. But let's stick to the snail side of things for now...apologise for "stick" pun lol.
Since "Squidget" passed on, so did my interest in keeping GALS...up until now again when I found some photos of "Squidget" yesterday! Since yesterday, I have been looking and re-doing my research on caring for GALS again, and have a particular interest now in the Achatina Albino Jadatzi Fulica snails and have been looking at loads of pictures etc. online. But I was wondering a few things first:
1) Is the Achatina Albino Jadatzi Fulica (going to just keep it as "Jadatzi" for now) snail any different from the Achatina Fulica species? Or is it just the fact that the snail is Albino (and adorably cute)?
2) Does the Jadatzi require any other specific care, or do I keep it as a normal GALS?
3) Where can I get the Jadatzi snail from? I live in the UK, near a place called Bedford.
That's it for now, regarding snails anyway. I will update about the rest of my (now very large group) of pets in the relevant section lol.
