Help soft shells

Hi Everyone:

I need some help and advice. My snails have soft weak shells. I have cuttlefish in the tank with them but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick. I have had it in there every since I've had snails. Also I wonder if they are healthy. I have done that is very retracted in his shell and I've noticed that when they do this they will die not to long after. Can anyone help me figure out what I should do to keep them healthy. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

What kind of substrate are they on and what are you feeding them?

Seems strange if there is cuttlebone in there. I might try giving them more protein as well. And some more info on the species, terrarium set up, and diet might help us.
