I'm sorry I really can't tell, the pic is blurred. There is a pic somewhere of eggs inside the snail you could compare. I'll try and find it in a bit.

maybe if the mantle comes away from the shell you should move the snail to a tank which has a very low height so she cant climb up? i did that when one of my snails had the same problem and eventually he got better
kind regards

Definatly get her into a shallow tank. Also I'm not sure I'd let any of those eggs hatch (if you were thinking of it) We don't know if its genetic or what (the mantle thingie)

But since we don't know about the mantle, wouldn't it be good to keep a few of them to see? Just guessing!

Hello, I was just wondering if it is possible for GALS to lay eggs that haven't been fertilised? When I moved my snail last night, she uncurled her body and an egg fell out! There was another one in the tank this morning. I thought they laid a batch of eggs, not jus one or two. I am confused!

One of my fulicas used to do that - Arno used to laugh at my one or two eggs rofl.
Is yours a fulica?

So it has been known then! To update you, I just went to check the tank and discovered there are 6 more! But there is no evidence of any love dart. I thought that was evidence that mating had taken place? The thing is, my other snail has been ill lately, and I'm sure he's not capable of doing any mating!

Oh, in answer to your question, I'm not 100% sure. The eggs are white and oval in shape, about 6mm by 4mm in size. Could they be fertile? I'm worried about all this freezing the eggs business! I specifically got different sized snails so they wouldn't want to breed! x

There isn't ALWAYS a love dart, and the snails could have mated long ago and only just decided to fertilize and lay (they can store sperm) So yes I am sure they are eggs, no idea if they are fertile or not, thats for you to find out if you decide to let any hatch. Otherwise just bung them in a bag in the freezer

Me too! They've nearly hatched aswell now! I don't think the others will tho now, theres only a few left and nothings happening with them. The others are all doing well tho. I'm so nervous! Imagine what I'd be like it it were my own baby, Im a nervous wreck with the snails!

lol, i put a few aside and froze the rest :-( it has to be done can't wait to see if they hatch, they may not being her first batch. It's kind of weird how all my other snails (except my babbies) are bigger than her yet shes the first to lay :-)
