Just put them in a seperate container with lots of very small holes in, you may not need to heat them as they are british snails, just cover them with peat and keep it moist and they should be fine :-)

I would just leave them exactly where they are. Helix aspersa certainly know what they are doing Mine laid in 3 days, and hatched in just over a week I think. Nat

What size are aspersum eggs?
I've found about 80-90 that one laid over the past week in four batches that are about 1-1.5mm in diameter but last night another one was laying eggs more than twice the size and jelly like. There were about 40 or so of them and the snail that laid them had shrunk loads after it had finished and looked silly with a huge shell. He was acting fine but didn't want to eat.

When mine laid they were about 3mm I would say. Pure bright white and did kind of stick together, they certainly weren't hard shelled. I've got pics somewhere... See if I can find them Nat

See if I can find them Nat Both kind of eggs that I've found are brilliant white and stick together, maybe the smaller ones are all infertile? The snail that layed them hadn't yet formed its lip fully so probably isn't that old.

Eeek! last night I found Rumina Decollata eggs! There are only about half a dozen of them and I'm tempted to leave them where they are 'cos there ain't any mites in that tub. Has anyone had these before? How long do they take to hatch? Here is the best pic I could get of four of them: They are about 2mm in diameter.

I've had loads of Decollata eggs, none hatched unfortunately. I brought 2 babies back from Spain and they haven't grown much I'm seriously cutting back on my snails at the minute - can't deal with another baby and all these little tanks too. Sending my decollata to live with Uncle Arno lol, together with my Explanata and pancake slugs - cheers Arno, it's a weight off my mind. Anjie,x.

I just freeze the eggs. There's a lot of lizards that will eat them though, I took one lot to a reptile shop and the people there fed them to a load of the reptiles they had there. The snails do eat the eggs themselves... but I don't know whether they would eat all of them.
