You need a permit to purchase a landsnail in the U.S. Even if you went through the paperwork, I doubt you could find a dealer in the U.S. or a foreign dealer willing to ship them to the U.S. You can buy aquatic snails at a pet store though. Additionally, you could find some Helix aspersa (garden snails) in a garden or woods. They're active at night and not when it's cold, so you might have to wait until spring.

Well, it is also legal if you buy the snails withing your state lines.
