Hi, I took in a few lost souls at the end of October. One I found stuck to my front door for several days, which now is aptly named "Doortje", the other hung for a few days on a rain pipe. Then a friend brought a couple more in, so now I have 4 of them chilling inside and munching all the goodies I bring in. One of the snails my friend brought in has grown rapidly over the past 6 - 7 weeks and I wonder if this is some "foreign" species. The others grew too, but nowhere near as fast and big as the "alien". Can anyone help me identify it? Is it a Helix Aspersa? I also found a lot of eggs today, and they're hatching... They were hidden under a piece of cuttlefish bone.

I believe that is a Helix aspersa, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

It does look a lot like my Helix aspersa, but slightly different in color/drawing. But then again, my Helix aspersa look slightly different from one another too. And yes, they grow surprisingly fast! So I think (but don't shoot me if I am wrong) you have a Helix aspersa :-)
