Hi everyone, I know it doesn't seem to have much to do with snails, but Flowersnail and I had a new cousin last week! So, my family and I are going to his Baptism next weekend (exactly, on Easter!). I'm posting this because I'd like to know; should I put food that doesn't rot fast (like carrots), but change their food directly when I get home? Or I can leave them for more than two days? I just want to be sure, because I don't want to come back and discover they're dead! I'm going to clean up the tank this week, I think, to make sure it's okay before I leave. Thanks! Seastar

I left my snails for a week with some carrot and sweet potato, and I misted their tank before I left. They were all fine when I got home!

They'll be absolutely fine. Just leave them with some food and mist the tank before you go. If you're going away for longer in future, there are tricks you can use to keep them going like planting edible plant seeds into the substrate before you go so that they'll have fresh food growing.

Thanks tigersnail and morningcoffee! That's what I'll do. I'll clean up the tank too, to mame sure no larvae infect snails.
