right well i was checking on my margies eggs and i pulled one out and was covered in about 3 small (under a cm) critters they looked like worms and were only on this one egg. they had a black spot on their tail any idea what they are?

Yep, they are the ones I found in my tank. The black spot on these ones that I found was on it's head....unless it was moving backwards.

i had one of those on one of the eggs you gave me i didnt see any black dot but i took it of really fast. i havent seen any more though.

so that could mean that they have came from the eggs? or is it the coir or sphanagum moss i use/posted them in? i am getting really worried now tcould this be why most of my eggs havent hatched?

i think it might be in the moss but i havent seen any more and ive still got the same moss they came in

i keep the eggs in a coir pot with moss and coir so it could be either, but i havent seen them in any other part of the tank

They sounds like flatworms, the type you get in Aquariums, they can appear in wet tanks. They also predate on fish eggs so it is possible with snail eggs.

i just looked at the eggs again and found at least two different little bugs on them there were worms but they didnt look as big as the other one i found earlier and they were transparent and there was tiny almost like tiny spider things i couldnt see what they looked like they were to small and really fast ive changed the substrate cleaned the eggs and washed the tub out with hot water. plus my eggs look kind of moldy grey do yours look like this eric?

the 5 i have left of those ones look fine to me and i found another batch i hqvent seen anyore of those worms yet
