I think it may depend how much the animals have been traumatised during their journey. Were they in transit very long?

They could still be O.K. Some of the Brixton snails which were rescued took ages to come out of their shells, all you can do is keep them warm and moist with plenty of food and just HOPE !!

I do hope they are ok. I think Val is right to say that they might take a little longer than usual. I do agree with you there though, don't pay them! Lol, translating, suggests it was unreadable! No, just that I couldn't understand the lingo ;D Surely, "no marks on shells" is legible? It obviously states that their shells are not scratched or worn...

The tigers and ventris that I received from Ivory Coast were on the market ( sold as food) for days without food and shadow ( on that tropical climate the sun is really strong). One ventri died, but the others are fine resting on daytime and eating at night . They aren´t very active, which is quite normal on these situations:wild caught and kept as objects witouth life, i. e, people there don´t care for cuttlefish, cucumber or fruits for snails, they only want to sell them fast to get money, so they don´t feed snails. One of the pictures, shows a ventri with big yellow eggs and a piece that seems of flesh(?), maybe I´m wrong, but we all know that africans eat these snails and they don´t want to spend money feeding «food». In relation to lignus, (I have to research about this fussy snails ( they may eat apple or cucumber) but they are fussy anyway), on my shippment some died during the trip and some more died one day after arrival. So thats a shame and it´s not my fault. They have all the conditions to be fine here(food, heating, moist, shelter), but then I remembered that the supplier maybe keeps these snails for weeks and he doesn´t fed them properly, not because of negligency ( he put some leaves of the trees from where he got the snails, near the snails, but they ( lignus)didn´t touched it) but because of lack of knowledge, so the snails died. Be patient with tigers and lignus, just keep doing for them. Good luck!

Yes, you are right, and money too. But I think that I don´t have to pay for dead snails. If he ( the supplier) doesn´t believe on me, I may send the money for the alive ones, and the dead snails, altogether to him. Cheers apple
