Well I have a Helix aspersa snail that fell off it's tanks lid and cracked the back bit of it's shell and then a tiny bit came off(you can see the flesh of the snail) all I want to know is what do I have to do to make it survive and not dry out, also I have some small bandages and human plasters-are they a good idea to stop the snail from drying out? please help!!

i think you can put gauze on it, then plaster of paris and the snail should be ok.

just wondering in case one of my snails has this happen: could you put cling film (held on by selotape) as a tempory measure? just to stop it drying out

You'd probably have to change the cellotape every day. It's crap at staying on when it's wet. *Knows from trying many many ways to make the plants stay on the side of the tank * Other than that, I don't know lol Sorry. Maybe you could wrap the clingfilm all the way round, not just put it over the crack? It should stay on better than taping it on.

just make sure the glue doesn't touch their flesh, but you obviously know that
