Hello. I have noticed a white patch on the back of my Achatina Fulica (Dusty). I'm getting worried about it. At first i thought it is respiratory gland but i need to be sure. Does anyone have an idea, what it could be? That would be very helpful. Thanks.

The white patch on his body looks like a wound of some sort... I don't know, I don't want to give out incorrect advice. Maybe the reproductive pore...?

Yeah... I thought it's the reproductive pore too.. If it's a wound would have healed by now.. He's had it since I've had him (one month now). It doesn't seem to bother him though.. I'm just really curious.

has it appeared suddenly or gradually? it could be a scar. how could it be something else as mysterious as almost everything in the snails. monitor it and keep it up-to-date
however, it is not an Achatina fulica but an Achatina achatina Ghana, so watch out for stabbing!

Yes it is Achatina Achatina Ghana. And it's had since I've had him.

It is damaged skin/a scar. Neither the pneumostome (breathing hole) nor the genital pore ...(or anything else really) is located in this area.

sorry, I'm having trouble with English. stabbing means another thing. I meant the temperature and humidity

Hello, I think that my snail might have a similar problem. The story goes this way: About week and a half ago, I noticed that my snails are much less active and are not eating at all. At first I didn't undertake any action, because there were couple of rainy days here, so I didn't worry. But when the weekend came, I decided to check in on them in greater detail and gave them a bath. I noticed that one of the snails has part of the skin missing. I washed that wound with green tea and then again with water. What bothers me is that he is still not eating and the wound is getting bigger. I doubt that the other snail was biting it, since this one has been in the shell for quite some time. I also noticed that he lost weight, but is not retracting deeply in the shell. Also, I didn't notice any parasites on the snail, the area around this white spot seems to be clean. Do you have any idea what this might be and if I could do anything to make my snail better? Please take a look at the pictures, the first one was taken on Saturday, second and third one yesterday. Thank you in advance for any help!
PS I am also wondering which species my snail is, although I doubt you can see it from these pictures.
