I accidentally stood on garden snails. Not damaged body but badly damaged shell in 3 bits and 2 bits missing. It's come out in pot with water and leaves. Can it health can I help it. Should I put it out its misery. I'd rather help it.

Post pictures so we can assess the injury, please. It doesn't sound great, but maybe it can be fixed.

you should put it in an enclosure without anything that can damage its shell, and give it lots of calcium. i suggest cuddlebone which you can get at a local petstore(make sure there is no salt in it) i hope it makes it through

Definitely put them in a safe enclosure and be sure to spritz it with water so the snails don’t dry out. Keep some cuttlebone or crushed eggshells out all of the time and replace when needed. Make sure to watch them closely and try to protect them as much as you can!

Even though these aren't apple snails maybe it could help you with your snails in some way. Go to you tube, type in: Steff j how I fix a broken apple snail shell.
