Hi! I posted a concern a few months back about my garden snails they seemed to have mantal swelling all the time. They seemed to be fine And I could never figure out what was causing it. My sister was also having same issues with hers and last night one of her snails crawled out of their shell 😔. She said it seemed fine at 7pm and she looked back at 9:30 and it was out. Could the swollen mantal be a sign this will happen to mine also? I am not sure what could have caused this? Thank you for any help!!

So sorry to hear, it was probably caused by parasites as said here: science-explained.com/blog/2014/11/22/combating-homelessness-figs-pumpkin-seeds/amp/There's not much you can do as the snail can't regrow its shell and is unlikely to survive without it, but you can always try to keep it damp at all times to increase its chances of survival. To deal with parasites (if there are any), the predatory Hypoaspis miles mite eats many parasites that target snails.
