Hi! My son and I are setting up our snail habitat and he was wondering if he could build a home out of Lego to put in the habitat. Does anyone see any problem with this?
Thanks!!

It's not ideal, buying a glass aquarium or terrarium is better for the snails and will be a lot easier to clean.

Are you meaning building LEGO decor? I would NOT recommend a LEGO habitat, but LEGO decor might not be very bad, just offer him natural hides like a rock cave or turned over pot because he may not like LEGOS or want to sleep on them (I don’t think you would either), snails usually prefer rocks and turned of pots or plants and moist leaf litter to sleep/hide in.

And make sure the legos are clean before you do this and DO NOT USE SOPE.

Yes, lego decor should be fine. I'm not sure how you should sanitize it, but don't use soap or any chemicals. I don't know if boiling it would be a good idea or not, but you could try! Just be very cautious and keep and eye on his snails behavior. If it starts acting different than usual, take the lego house out. If the Lego house doesn't work, you could find some other cool tank decorations at a pet supply store! Just the other day I found an awesome resin skull decoration.
