Garth, My Achatina achatina recently cracked and put a hole in his shell. Before I noticed this he burrowed for the night and got a good amount of the tank substrate (coconut fiber) in the hole. The hole is in the whorl behind the body whorl and still occupied by the mantle. I managed to clear some of the hole with a gentle spray of sterile water, but I want to make sure it doesnt get infected. Ive been told that green tea bath's have antibacterial properties and are good for snails if properly diluted, but would it cause him any harm if it was in the hole?
