I read that snails need company to be happy. While I started with one little guy as my first snail, I want to make sure he can live throughout his lifespan, at least 6 years. I was just wondering if I should be in a rush to get him a friend. He is very young and I don't want him being unhappy. If I do go for it, would an Albino Fulica cause problem with him? I don't want to get the exact same species due to breeding. Or should I get his species because of social reasons?

I think as long as they don't try to eat each other, they'll do fine! I keep my aspersa and bradybaena similaris together in the same tank, and they get along okay. They just crawl on top of each other and eat food together. A lot of land snail species can reproduce asexually, so you may end up with eggs whether it's the same species or not.

I completely forgot to mention, make sure your snails are used to living in similar climates! Keep the tank at a temperature and humidity where they'd both be happy.
