I caught two cornu aspersum / helix aspersa about 6 months ago. They were already about the size of a dime, so I'm guessing they were already 7-8 months old.
What age do they reach maturity, and how do you tell if a snail is going through puberty? They still seem to be growing steadily. My larger one is slightly larger than a quarter, and it doesn't seem to have started growing a lip in its' shell yet.
My other one is small enough to fit on top of a quarter, and it looks like it's growing a lip now. It's kind of a dwarf. Would it still keep growing, or does it stop once it grows a lip?
I'm guessing they'll lay eggs next spring, what do y'all think?
