If the snail is completely unresponsive to touching the body and is otherwise not moving then I'm afraid it's possible it might be dead. Snails smell very bad when they've been dead for a little while which is always the definitive sign.

just checked on him he is even deeper and is smelling there was some fluid in the shell it was clear

thanks for the help we just moved the rest to a new box (same box but cleaned fully) hopefully they will do well
