I am so proud of my freakin' son.. do you see him??? that is my BABY BOY.... eatign a b o n e.... for a brief moment. I came back to see him happily munching away on the bone. I'm so glad he's willing to eat it!! His shell will be much stronger in a few weeks. No more paper thin shell!!

That’s great! I didn’t even have to coax mine, they where so deficient they went straight for it.

That’s great! I didn’t even have to coax mine, they where so deficient they went straight for it. That's wonderful! I'm a bit concerned now, because mine won't eat his cuttlebone anymore. At least, not that I've noticed. With the other snails, they're all huge. Three gnawing on one bone would leave a sizeable dent in it, but one little guy nibbling by himself? It's impossible to tell if he's eaten it. I'd thought he would start eating it like mad when I made this post.

They can actually absorb calcium through their foot so if you see them crawling over it a lot or napping on it your good. 🙂
