About a week ago maybe going on 2 I bought three more snails one tiny nerite and two medium mystery. The two mystery seem to be doing fine. All three are in my 10 gallon Aqueon live planted heated filtered Aquarium. My tiny nerite, however, has not moved in 3 days. I keep picking it up to smell it which I understand could indicate that it may have passed away however it does not smell badly at all. I've tried feeding all three a multitude of food choices including green beans, blanched zucchini squash, fish flakes and algae tabs. Only one mystery snail has seemed interested in eating anything the other mystery snail and the nerite eat nothing. The nerite doesn't even come out of it's shell. Is there anything I can do for the little guy/girl or should I just wait?

Hi hickoryflat30188, most of the nerite snails reach their destination in a more or less weakened status, a high percentage dies during the long transport from their country of origin. That`s the reason why I don't buy nerites at all. They prefer to graze naturally grown algae from the ground. Your snail needs a lot of luck now. Maybe someone here in the forum can help you. Kind regards: wolf

How did you acclimate them? What are your water perimeters? Have you cycle the aquarium?
