Goodmorning all, my cornu aspersum is sleeping outside her shell from 3 weeks now (except for one day 3 days ago). I've read something on this forum too abt this topic , i remember someone said that they do like that when the humidity is very high or they feel very relaxed, but i cannot find the thread anymore... In fact here is raining from one month continously and levels of moisture are between 80% and 100%.. during her time awake she's acting ver normal, only a bit slower compared to the summer... Now honestly im worried as other informations I got recently were a little bit more "creepy" and I absolutely need to make sure that everything is ok..... Pls need some opinions... this is how she slept yesterday, today she wrapped herself completely in a big salad leaf and sleeping there. PS: my two baby snails (one baby and one young) are recently sleeping a bit out of their shell too (but not as much as Faitila) THANK EVERYONE SO MUCH

Yes, they will sometimes sit around like this if moisture is high since they don't need to hide in their shell. The puffy mantle indicates that this snail has mated recently so expect eggs.

thank you so so so much for the reply, as im going really ditressful abt this because im really in love with this particular snail! But very strange she mated recently, she's living alone in this house, but i give her lot of freedom and let her go out every night so she probably met some other aspersas as my backyard is full of them... in some other discussion i've read they may die that's why im so scared...she's 11 months old and when she's awake she acts normally/happily...
