Hi, my daughter has a single GALS that we have had since January...and today eggs have appeared in the tank. Will these be unfertilused eggs? I know they are hemaphrodites so maybe they can self-fertilise?

They’re likely to have babies inside. If you don’t want to raise the hatchlings, you could freeze the eggs. GALS can self fertilize, and are capable of producing offspring by themselves.
