Hi! My snail Leonard (Achatina reticulata) took a tumble yesterday and the tip of his shell broke of. about 5mm broke off and I immediately tried to cover it with some clay and nail polish, both don't come in contact with the snail' skin. When he just fell you could see his "skin" but he quickly retracted this. He's very active and doesn't seemed bothered, tho I try to keep him extra hydrated so he doesn't dry out. But I'm worried the clay isn't a very good/ permanent solution + unsure if the tip of the shell will be able to repair INFO: this might be important! He's not fully grown yet (maybe around 7.5cm), he can get up to 16-20cm Pictures: imgur.com/a/P833uXm?s=fbm&fbclid=IwAR1LH4rlVPMyxlSvwCKuu3n5i4MFlOaIB-zeykj6MY3L1lYF0k51wQQ4YdYin the picture of the clay cover there isn't a layer of clear nail polish yet, I've sealed the sides + the clay itself with clear nail polish so nothing would be able to get in the shell tip. I hope you can help me out here!!
