Hey folks! I am a new amber snail parent, I picked up two little babies while out doing some field work in Western MA. So far they have eaten a little bit every day (as far as I can tell, I've been placing them on a fresh piece of veggies each night) but they seem to sleep for most of the day. I've read up that snails sleep for long periods of time, especially when conditions are not favorable, but I have been doing my best to make the tank nice and humid (I spray it with filtered water 2x a day) and have been keeping them in a darkened spot. I also have a very shallow dish (not any deeper than the height of their foot) that I fill with water once a day–I have even seen one go into the dish. Any ideas on why they might not be too active?
