I found this snail a couple of days ago and have been wondering what species it is. Prior to that I only ever saw garden snails and a few door snails. I have been lookibg online, but all I got suggested were Decollate snails. I don't think that's right, or is it? imgur.com/a/xACajUO

Spain, somewhere in Asturias. It was sitting on a stone wall with some moss growing on it.

Hi sulkingraven,
you are quite right: of course it is not Rumina decollata, this idea is far out......... . Thanks for the location. It's always extremely important to know the exact location/origin.
It should be family Cochlostomatidae, genus Cochlostoma . There are several species of Cochlostoma in Asturias: at least C. asturicum, C. bicostulatum and C. hidalgoi, perhaps C. obscurum, too. Compare with these species.
Have a nice time, kind regards: wolf
