Hello, recently my snail woke up from sleeping for weeks, as soon as she woke up i fed her zuchinni and didn't realize snails can in fact overeat, after finding that out i freaked out and pulled everything out, she looked a bit sluggish after that incident so i assumed she just had a stomach ache or something. that night i noticed some swelling on her mantle it looked not too bad but i still was very worried as i am a first time snail owner and very new to all of this. after some research i still didn't know what was happening it looked similar to a snail that needs to lay eggs but much more extreme than that. after that day i fed some lettuce hoping some decrease in nutritional value would balance out the overeating or something like that. after eating the letuce it looked much worse! here is a picture, the thing poking out is her eye stalk. imageshack.com/i/pm6chM79jas you can see her mantle is swelled at the sides and its only gotten worse today. tonight i was looking in to check on her and she's very very swollen, here is a link to that picture. imageshack.com/i/popLDDnYjsome of her foot is poking out of the very swollen mantle and she's sticking to the glass. Someone please help me identify whats wrong, and can i do anything to help her?? EDIT: I think it does have to do with over-misting as morningcoffee mentioned, she is acting normally and is pretty active so I don't believe it's mantle collapse. Thank you guys so much for the help!! I was very concerned.

Hi, I’m so sorry to hear what has happened to your snail, I’m new to keeping GALS to and I searched the problem and it came up with something called mantle collapse, it would be best to research it and look at photos to see if that is what has happened to your snail.

It doesn't look too bad and I doubt it's related to over-eating. Sometimes people have reported swollen mantles in their snails when tank humidity is too high or they are being sprayed with water too often.
