Hey guys! My dad just bought me a 29 gallon! 😁 Since he made me get rid of the 40 gallon when we moved, he promised he’d buy me a new tank after we got settled, and here it is!  I’m super excited. I miss my little Ranchu so much, so I know I’m getting a Goldie or two, but I’m torn between Ranchu’s, or maybe pearlscales. I’m very highly considering one of each, which I know is a little tight on the stocking, but I over filter and it is a planted tank, so as long as I keep up on the water changes, I think it will be okay. I added a bunch of cycled media and dosed 4ppm of ammonia, so in a few days when the ammonia goes back down to zero, it should be ready for fish. I’m also getting some fluval bio-booster tomorrow to make sure there is plenty of beneficial bacteria before I get fish. |

Ammonia down to 2ppm and nitrates sitting at 5ppm. We are getting close!

Tank finally cycled and here are the new fish! Just got them yesterday, and boy the are cuuuute! The LFS didn’t have pearlscales or ranchus, but I ended up getting a little black moor and a blue Oranda. Pictures coming soon.

congrats on the new tank, i too acquired one much larger than my two smaller tanks and it is a thrill to see 3 pairs of angels and many goramis. its looking quite splendid, but as i said elsewhere my giant gorami
bob is dying and so the thrill is tempered with sadness.

I use imagBB and select BB code “full” and paste it into the post. It pops up as a full image.

All that happens is the link url gets pasted on the post with a minisbule dot os a pic before it - but no great pic at all!! May be one does something while editing like press import image icon. Frustrating.
