I found a night crawler/giant earthworm. I'm wondering if it would be safe to put him in the terrarium with the snails?

Thank you morningcoffee, I really appreciate your concern/comment. I have a 10 gal. terrarium w/half grown helix asperas. Their mother had a batch of these little gritters and died shortly afterwards. The nightcrawler is nothing but an extra large earthworm. I only found one, and that's all I feel the size and amount of this terrarium can take. The worm was in such distress when I found him, I felt sorry for him. He was hanging out of the ground squirming around like he couldn't get out, which is unusual in it's self. They stay underground. Usually when you pick one of them up they go wild wiggling and trying to get away from you. After I pulled this one out of the ground he became very calm in my hand. I've never had one do that way before. I noticed the place where he was coming out of the ground had a hump there. We have moles and goffers both. I still wonder if a mole was trying to eat him, even though I looked him over thoroughly and didn't see anything wrong with him, so, not sure. He could have been trying to escape and barely made it. I would send a picture w/a dime or quarter beside him so you could see the size. I'll find another, they are all over here. Would you like to see a photo of one when I find another? Thanks again for reply

The other thing I would say is that I know at least one person has posted here in the past when they were keeping worms with their snails, and they reported that the worms had actually gone inside the snail's breathing holes and caused serious problems or death - may not be a possible issue with large worms and smaller snails, but maybe worth bearing in mind.
