Hi there, I have 2 beautiful garden snails. They're very brave and durable I think because they've lived in the wild.. So because of that, do you think they will be OK if I continue to give them veg just bought from the shops? Not home grown or organic? They eat it fine but I worry its slowly going to make them ill. Perhaps I should invest in organic or? I'm not sure.
Also, one other thing. EVERY time I open the door to mist them, one of them comes 'running' up and out almost as if to come and see me. Is it coming to greet me, gasp for air (the habitat is well ventilated) or to 'run' away? Or because generally they don't have emotional capacity and technically can't experience suffering or love (so they say) it's doing none of these? I like to think it's coming to say hello because it loves me, but perhaps there's some other reason that's not lovely.
Sorry for all the long winded questions I just love them and want to do the best for them that I can.
Thanks

Aha OK no problem! I think I read somewhere someone said something about not being organic. But if your experienced with feeding non organic then cool. Cause I'm the same I don't even feed myself organic and I'm fine.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum! As for the snail who always appears when you open the door to mist, well, I do think snails can develop trust towards their humans, but they also are surprisingly good at figuring out what kind of things mean they're getting food and other fun things. If you always begin the misting the same way, maybe at a similar time of the day too, the ones who really enjoy being misted will be there when they recognize you're going to do it.
