Hi all,
About a 4-6 weeks ago I found a little garden snail and decided to keep her as a pet. I looked into how to care for her and I was feeding her lettuce, carrot, sweet potato and egg shells. About 2 weeks later I noticed her shell was looking a little flaky and after looking into it I decided to add hard boiled egg into her diet and also I washed her shell with water and oiled it a little bit once or twice. She seemed fine after that but now her shell is looking white in patches. I haven't given her any egg for a few days but I have given her cuttlefish shell and she's been eating it but I haven't noticed any improvement with her shell. She's eating and pooping and moving about still, I just want to make sure I'm giving her the best care I can and her shell is causing me to worry a bit.
I do have photos but I don't know if there's anywhere to add them to this post. I'd love some advice or help, thank you in advance!

Little late here, but you can show images by posting on image hosting sites (I personally use imgbb.com) and linking them! I’d be more than happy to help, even if I’m no expert. It sounds like it may be “pitting”, though i’ve only ever seen it in aquatic snails. It’s caused by too-acidic water for them, maybe it’s something to do with the water you’re misting with? It does definitely sound like some sort of shell deterioration issue... but can’t say for sure until we get pics. Good on you to give them the cuttle bone, thats’s perfect. It should definitely help them regain some shell integrity and get better! I hope I’m not too late
