Hey everyone, happy New Years!
Alright I have a big problem. I recently moved my snails into a new box which has a lid that allows them to crawl over to the very edge. The problem is once I take the lid off, if I don’t move them before putting it back on, they’ll get crushed. One of them REFUSES to move. I’ve tried everything. I even filled up the area with water and he would rather drown then move.
Anyone have any ideas on how to safely move a very stubborn little garden snail?

Hi and happy new year! I think if she is hibernating it may take very long before to wake her up, it happened to me that they took even a couple of hours..

He’s awake and looking at me and refusing to move. That’s why I can’t move him, because his body is gripping the lid

Hey! Then I would just wash your hands off with just water and gently nudge his body so he will unstick. If that doesn’t work just spray the lid a tiny bit so it’s slippery and try and help release his body. (Don’t pull up by his shell directly support his body underneath) then just lightly set him in his tank ☺️. (If you are able to get his body off and just let him crawl in your hand it should be fine, but don’t pull him off)
