heya so I have two White-lipped Banded Snails. Now I know this species usually hibernates during winter by digging themselves into the ground and closing their shells with mucus. Both of mine have. What I'm wondering though is why they have? Is it a seasonal thing or is it because their tank might be too cold? I'm trying to figure out if maybe I should put the tank further from a window to possibly bring the heat a bit higher. But I don't want to possibly harm them by forcing them out of hibernation if it's an important part of their yearly behavior. This is my first year with them, hence why I am slightly worried about the situation. I found both of them and they are sealed off with mucus. I put them back into the dirt once i had found them and made sure they weren't missing because they had died.

It could be just a natural thing, but usually snails hibernate because of the changing weather so I would put them in a warmer spot just to be safe.
