It was normal white paper with pen writing on it and green 'bristol' paper

Hi helptoall, several snail species have some endogenous cellulases, so they can digest cellulose. That´s not a problem at all. Some snails love to eat paper. What kind of snail do you own? That´s always important to know. Only the pen writing could possibly do some harm, but the amount of pen ink should be very low. So let`s hope the best. Kind regards: wolf

Hi! As long as your snail doesn’t eat it all the time it’s ok. Just give him a nice veggie meal and he/she should be fine.

Nothing, it will cost, I hope, not a newspaper. Mine also ran away and ate the instructions on glossy paper, a decent piece. If the snail ate the paper accidentally - it's okay, but you can not feed the paper, because it is not natural cellulose, but with dyes, chemicals, adhesives and starch.
