Hello! I was recently looking around for some snails and found this snail youtu.be/NSpFhY6n2a8I scanned it in iNaturalist and it says it is a Triodopsis, it looks like it and it was what I thought. Anyone have any other suggestions as to what species it is? Thanks in advance!

Hi snaileyhammy,
unfortunately I'm not at all familiar with US-American terrestrial species (just beginning..........), but I agree with genus Tridopsis (Polygyridae). Regrettably we don't have the origin (state) nor the width of the shell. That would help enormously. In each state Tridopsis is present there are several different species of Tridopsis, as far as I know. The shell reminds me of Tridopsis hopetonensis, but that´s only a vague guess. Perhaps you can compare with this species. There should be several people on this forum who know better than me. After all, these snails are walking around right in front of their feet.
Have a nice time, best of luck: wolf
