So finally Pleurodonte marginella snails arrived at my home. I set up their enclosure - it looks like this: ibb.co/hYYfxSw I have a few general questions for You guys:1. Can I crush to dust some eggshells and give them to snails in some shallow dish (calcium source)? 2. How to give them fish flakes - also in some shallow dish? 3. I put some springtails in the snail enclosure - can I also introduce there some isopods eg. "dairy cows" ? 4. Do they need a water dish? -or- water from the sprayer is sufficient?

They are so cute! You can give them eggshells, but I recommend cuttlebone or another calcium source. As for food bowl and or water bowl, it is optional. Just be sure it isn’t ceramic and is a soft plastic. Spread there food and cliche everywhere so they can always find it (you can have one general spot to put most the food though.) With fish flakes just soak them in some water, and then add them to the tank! I hope this helps and good luck with your snails!

Snails do eat crushed eggshell, however this alone is probably not enough to maintain shell growth. I recommend having cuttlebone in the tank at all times but you can give them the eggshells as a treat sometimes. Other calcium sources you can use are: snail jello, calcium cakes, oyster grit and calcium paste. Hope this helps .
