My brown garden snails shell seems to be thinning, it turns flakey, but it’s coming over the shell over time. It’s about halfway over the shell right now. My other snails shells look perfectly fine and they have a cuttlebone as calcium. Anyone have a idea of what could be wrong?

Hi! Could you get some photos of your snail? If so that’d be awesome! It could be where some new shell growth is coming in. Has your snail grown the lip or end of its shell yet?
It could also be because of lack of calcium, nutrients, or sunlight. Possibly give your snail a little extra calcium and maybe some reptile calcium that contains D3. It’s hard to say I guess but, once I see a photo it may help determine what’s going on.

When replying to a thread, the page you get should have this band at the top, on which you click the circled icon. From here, you can insert an image link. Hope this helps!
