Looking for Achatina Iredalei

Hi everyone.

I am currently searching for Achatina Iredalei for sale in the UK. Despite my continuous searching, the only supplier I have come up with is Landnails.Org, which is a Czech and notoriously low rated seller, with all manner of complaints against them. I really don't want to do business with these guys, especially over such a long distance, because not only is the reputation bad, but it's a long distance for the snail to travel.

Is anyone aware of a seller who has Achatina Iredalei, in the UK, or closer in Europe? With perhaps a decent rating?

by the way: perhaps you should look for Lissachatina allisa, too. It's the new, valid name for Achatina iredalei (formerly).

Nice to see you on the forum, not sure if you recall but I'm one of the people you sold a jadatzi fulica- who I named Squidge- to a few months ago! So sorry about Bram's passing though. My condolences
Regarding finding Lissachatina Iredalei sellers, I recall bugznbits may have had some for sale a while ago. They're not on their website right now but maybe if you contacted them they'd be able to tell you when they'll be back in stock? They at least have a better reputation than landsnails, which for the record, do not cull the baby snails they sell. So yeah, not great!

Update: Also found then on a website called Shne.czek. They are, however, located in the Czech republic and like you said, it is a long distance to travel. They have iredalei zanzibar in stock (https://www.shneczek.cz/en/eshop/lissachatina/liss-iredalei-zanzibar/) but theyre pretty pricey at £10 + £22 shipping. It seems to be the only shop I can find that actually has them ready for sale though.

Thanks for all your help, everyone. I was unaware the breed name has changed, so that's very helpful.

I have decided to welcome in an Archachatina Ventricosa, since I was unable to find a suitable Iradalei at a reasonable distance. Which is a shift, I know, but I am a little impatient in regards to waiting several months for someone to have them back in stock.

Archachatina Ventricosa are a very pretty species in my opinion- good luck with them! And yes, Squidge is doing great, their shell is about 10.5cm length at current and I believe theyre going through a growth spurt right now too!
