Hi everyone! Hope you and your slimy little angels are doing well! I am raising a clutch that hatched last December, so they are about ten months old now. One of them, Bowen, was small and then had a huge growth spurt about two months ago where she grew into a beautiful, mid/big size snail. She’s very active and healthy, takes good care of herself with a good balance of healthy food (romaine, kale, carrots, sweet potato, apples, occasional oatmeal), water and cuttle bone. Out of nowhere two nights ago I noticed she looked like she wasn’t feeling well. Her eyestalks weren’t coming out all the way. One is droopy and the other one only goes out halfway with no eyedot. Her body looks smaller than usual and her foot is shriveled. Meanwhile, everyone else in her habitat (all from the same clutch) who all eat the same food and everything else are completely fine. Last night I gave her a bath, set her down in front of her favorite food and she hasn’t moved since (almost 24 hours ago) and she’s not sleeping either, just uncomfortably sitting outside her shell. This is not like her at all. I’m linking to a picture here: If anyone has any idea what’s wrong with her and what I can do to make it better please please let me know!! I love her so much and I’m so upset she went from so happy and healthy to this.

Hello! I don’t see anything abnormal, and from what you described she could just be in an odd position, maybe she just appeared shriveled? Does she seem dry at all? Just in case though, keep a close eye on her for any other abnormal behavior. I’ll let you know if I think of anything. Don’t worry, I am sure she will be just fine! You sound like an amazing snail parent!
