I've had two tiny garden snails for a few months and the larger one has these white spots on it's underside. Please bear with me because I don't really know the correct words for the parts of snails, but I'll do my best to describe the potential problem. So there's nothing on the shell or the snail when it's out of its shell, and the white dots aren't moving, but the snail has not always looked like this. They're on the snail when it's inside its shell, I'm not sure how else to explain it. It's like they're loads of little bubbles, but I don't understand why they've appeared suddenly. There's also a cluster of the white stuff over its hole area (breathing hole?). Been like this for over a week now, no change in behaviour or any other symptoms. The other snail is ridiculously tiny, so if it has the same issue, there's no way for me to see, even with a magnifying glass. Sorry if this breaks any rules or isn't a real issue.

Hello! No worries at all! I’m having trouble imaging what you are describing, so it would be awesome if you could attach some photos. From what you described it sounds like your snail may have sealed up, or bubbled at you a little, etc. It could be neither of those though. If you look at a diagram of a snail you can see the parts and that might help you describe it a little better. Here is how you can attach photos petsnails.proboards.com/thread/5529/posting-picturesLet me know if you can attach photos, etc. Happy holidays!

I will attach some images in the morning, and thanks for the suggestion, I've looked at a few diagrams. So it's definitely not bubbling as in self defense. The white stuff is all over what I think is the mantle and either the anus or pneumastome (I can only see one hole on my snail and can't tell which one it is). It's almost as if the dots are internal? Do snails ever have a load of bubbles inside their bodies or can they get rashes? Hopefully that helps a bit more, but I will try to take pictures tomorrow. Is it alright to use Imgur?

Yeah its alright to use Imgur. Usually snails bubble at you when frightened, so if you don't think it is that, that it probably isn't. It could be them trying to seal up, but It just depends. Let me know how things go!
