I have recently noticed that my Achatina reticulata (Noodle) is retracted deeply into his shell, I’ve only seen it in the past few days so this morning I made sure to mist my tank more than usual. Noodle did come out of his shell briefly but then retracted back in. I have now placed him into a separate tank (Noodle shares a tank with a marginata ovum) he hasn’t yet retracted and he has eaten some lettuce. While my marginata is very sensitive to the environment and has gone into aestivation several times before, I have observed Noodle to be very adaptable and he has never showed symptoms like this before. Is there something wrong with Noodle and if so what should I do?
Edit: I’ve also notice the very tip of his shell is quite cracked if that’s any help.

Is Noodle's mantle also retracted or is it just his foot?

www.petsnails.co.uk/problems/retracted.htmlThe info in the article above may be helpful. I had one snail that had a deep retraction syndrome. And it was very sudden, seemingly out of nowhere, and got progressively worse within just a couple of days, even though his foot kept emerging and he was eating. I came back from work one day, and he was very deeply retracted and already dead. I never learned what the reason was, especially with his tankmate, thankfully, not showing any similar symptoms. But I hope Noodle is going to be okay. How is he at the moment? Is he better or worse? Is he active? Does he eat? Has his mantle gone deeper than it was before?
