Hii, one of my helix aspersa seems to not want to lay her eggs but the eggs are coming out randomly anyway. Sometimes I find them stuck to her mantle or just on the side of the terrarium. I’ve never seen a snail do this.. is it something to be concerned about? Many thanks 🐌💕

Hello, as long as this does not happen too often it is nothing to worry about. I do not exactly know the cause of this but some of my snails have laid their eggs into the water-tank and on other strange places.
It looked like they have simply "lost" some of their eggs.

Hi there, snailfox! Late response but if this is your snail's first clutch(es) she might just be inexperienced and thus laying them all over the place rather then one spot. Even if she isn't, its probably nothing to worry about. Snails are just weird and sometimes there is no rational explanation for what they do lol

^ agreed! I know this is an older post. But sometimes snails just do random things, that don’t appear to be bad. I wonder if maybe one day we will figure out why snails have these odd behaviors
