Just realised that the recent post bar will wrap in 800x600 but not sure if anyone uses that anymore.
So, what screen resolution do you all view the web in?

If you are in Windows:
Click your right button on your desktop background and click properties.
Then click the "Settings" tab. You will see it listed on the bottom right.
It'll say "640x480", "800x600", "1024x768" or "1280x1024" more than likely.

Do you want me to sit in the corner and rust, or just fall apart where I'm standing?

I guess most people are ok then.
I design for 1024x768 but I keep 800x600 in mind. I figure anyone who wants bigger than 1024 doesn't mind smallness, so that's cool. I've seen people still using 640x480 (even programmers!!!) but they're gonna have to make do.

1152x864 The Opera browser has a nifty zoom function. You can zoom from 20% to 1000%, if ever necessary. Help a lot when text is too small or images too large.

I've used 1024 x 768 since I bought those catz and dogz games years ago lol. You can see more on a higher resolution and that was one I could deal with and I've stuck with it ever since! It's silly really, as on a site I get desktop backgrounds from, there's only a few mm difference in the backgrounds for 800 x 600 and the 1024 x 768 ones! Yet when I swapped to 1024 it looked soooo much different. Maybe it's just me.......

In images, the difference is 224 pixels horizontally. The general resolution of monitors is said to be 72 dpi. That would mean 1024 is about 3 inches wider than 800.
