Okay, I am just a newbie to this board, but I really like the board and the members on here. I have seen a few nasty respond to regular posters which surely have made quite a lot of distress etc. I am not too sure if this board can be done or not, but I also run a chatboard of my own. I know as admin / moderators, they can get access to control or delete the trolling posts and get access to our a/c etc. I wonder if this can be also done by setting the board to like "guests" cannot post on the board without register an a/c first? I know the trolls can still be able to registered and do the trolling, but it might stop them a little because they have to register first and take a little bit longer before they post the nasty comment. This is only a suggestion, if it is impossible or I have said something wrong, please forgive me. I just do not like to see the regulars who are genuine and are willing to give advise to the us to get so distress sometimes or even falling out.

I don't think we should stop guests from posting But maybe.....if someone starts a thread, and then someone else comes along and posts something nasty or the person finds offensive, then they can email one of the moderators and ask them to delete it

Oh okay, I just thought that the admin can set the forum that way. But I am running with a different server, that's why I thought it could be done with this board too.

The troll we had the other day actually registered I think? And "lets stalk Lisa" club have all registered too I haven't noticed many bitchy posts by guests. 'Cept regulars bitching because it's not letting them log in rofl. Seeing as it does do that quite a bit (not let some regs log in so they have to guest) I don't think turning off guests is a good thing. I think a way of reporting like Sarah said would be good though? But not us having to email/pm. A button that reports the exact post/thread to admin to save us having to copy everything down lol. I bet somethings already been said like that hasn't it

I agree with Sarah, I don't think that guests should not be able to post. For a while before I became a member I was a guest. It was from my experience from being a guest that made want to join up and to become a member. Having the guest option just enables this.
As for trolls, just ignore them. They are obviously pretty sad as they haven’t got anything better to do, so just laugh at them lol!

The guest posting option is more useful than the fact that it can be abused, that's why I haven't disabled it.
If you see something, let me know and I will delete it. As for a report button, it's impossible really because I can't write a function that is post dependent. So, let me know and just ignore the post. The best way to piss these people off is if we all just continue as though it didn't happen at all.
